"I truly loved the harmonious and caring atmosphere at Chinese YMCA College (CYMCAC). My classmates were enthusiastic and helpful. Whenever I encountered difficulties in my studies, they patiently taught me. Their warmth and friendliness opened up my heart and made me brave enough to engage in conversations with others. I learned how to treat others with kindness and express my love and care for them. On the other hand, the teachers were dedicated in their teaching. They carefully designed notes and mnemonics to help us remember knowledge more easily. After school, they often had heart-to-heart talks with us, easing our worries and stress.
In addition, the school encouraged us to participate in various extracurricular activities, allowing us to develop diverse skills and talents. In the academic aspect, I participated in the Biology Olympiad and, under the careful guidance of my teacher, won a bronze medal. In non-academic aspects, I joined the school band, basketball team and oil painting club, where I got to know more kind and friendly teachers and schoolmates. Whether in the school band or the basketball team, everyone fought together with determination, cheering for victory and feeling sad for defeat. Looking back, not only did our skills improve significantly, but our friendships also deepened. We became close friends who understood and supported each other.
The six years of secondary school life passed like a beautiful sunset, fleeting but leaving behind some wonderful memories. I am grateful to CYMCAC for giving me six years of joyful moments that I will never forget. Thank you, CYMCAC! Thank you, teachers!"
"I am grateful to have had the opportunity to study at Chinese YMCA College (CYMCAC), and I fondly remember the six wonderful years I spent there.
One of the most unforgettable moments was during the graduation ceremony, where I had the honour of representing the graduating students and delivering a speech. As an introverted person, I had never had the courage to speak on stage before. I still remember that day when there were many people sitting in the school hall, and I was very nervous. However, I made an effort to complete my speech. I am thankful to the school for giving me this valuable opportunity to break out of my shell.
The most touching scene occurred on our final day of classes. With the public exam looming, every S.6 student felt overwhelmed and stressed. On that day, a short film made by our junior schoolmates and teachers was played, aiming to encourage and inspire us. It made me feel incredibly warm and helped me realize that I was not alone. I had many teachers and classmates accompanying me through the challenging times. It made me deeply understand that CYMCAC was not just a place of pursuing knowledge but also a warm family. In terms of learning, the teachers often gave us unwavering support and encouragement. They would also sacrifice their own free time to provide supplementary lessons, allowing us to perform at our best in the exam.
Now, I am enrolled in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, enjoying the university life I have longed for. Finally, I wish my junior schoolmates to find their life goals and strive to achieve their dreams.

"At Chinese YMCA College, I have not only learned the knowledge in textbooks but also realized that learning has no boundaries and can be done anywhere anytime. If you want to achieve your goals, you have to work hard and take advantage of every opportunity. I have a keen interest in creativity and art, so my teachers often recommended me to participate in competitions to showcase my talents. It is precisely because our alma mater has given us a platform to develop our talents and our teachers are willing to explore our potential, I have been able to confirm my passion for literature and find a direction for my life.
In addition, I was very honoured to receive an overseas exchange scholarship to go on a study tour in the UK. I also earned a chance to travel to the United States to compete in the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals. In a foreign language environment, my study of English was no longer limited to textbooks but implemented in life, which greatly helped me adapt to the English-medium learning environment in university. The overseas exchange experiences also helped me develop my courage, communicate more actively with others and broaden my horizons. Lastly, I hope that my junior fellow schoolmates will enjoy their school life and their talents will flourish."
"The Chinese saying ‘being alone in a strange place as a visitor’ could best describe my feelings when I first arrived in the new environment of Hong Kong. However, my alma mater, Chinese YMCA College has made me feel at home. The enthusiastic and dedicated teachers have helped me overcome many difficulties and start a new and exciting high school life. Although the time at Chinese YMCA College was short, the rewards were immeasurable. The school's focus on whole-person development has enabled me to look beyond the textbook and into the wider world. In the process of learning and exploring, I have found my purpose in life and opened up new horizons. May all students and teachers seize the opportunity to learn at Chinese YMCA College and shine in their lives!"
"The decision to pursue a degree in engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is closely linked to my alma mater. In the cradle of my alma mater, I have had the opportunity to travel around the world and my knowledge is increasing day by day. For example, I learned more about STEM, theatre and performance skills by joining the Odyssey of the Mind Competition. It also helped me understand what I am good at and develop an interest in engineering, which led to the idea of studying engineering. I have travelled to the Mainland, Singapore, the United States and the United Kingdom for exchanges to experience different lives, meet people from other countries, deepen my understanding of different cultures, broaden my horizons and enrich myself.
I am now enjoying my university life and actively involved in various student organizations. I hope that I can apply what I have learned, realize my potential and give back to the community."
"At Chinese YMCA College, I met teachers who were passionate about education. I have also participated in many meaningful activities that have helped me grow in a holistic way. During my six years at my alma mater, my teachers have always encouraged me to participate in all kinds of activities including overseas exchange trips, the "Distinguished Master, Accomplished Students" Mentorship Programme and UNICEF Young Envoys Programme, etc. I have met many talented wonderful people throughout the years who helped me strengthen my personal skills, sharpen my mind and broaden my world. I have experienced a rich and colourful secondary school life and have found my way to create a unique and wonderful life."
