English Society Celebrates First CCA Day: Where Language Comes Alive at Chinese YMCA College

07-10-2026 #What's New

Welcome back to another vibrant school year at Chinese YMCA College! If you’ve ever wanted to travel the globe, debate hot topics, or simply lose yourself in a brilliant story without leaving campus, you already belong here.

Today marks our very first Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) Day of the year, and the English Society is ready to show you that English is far more than just a subject on your timetable—it is a living, breathing culture.

At Chinese YMCA College, we believe the best language learning happens when you aren’t even thinking about studying. That is why our campus is designed to be an immersive, dynamic English environment where curiosity leads the way.

What Makes Our English Environment Different?

Interactive Cultural Exchanges: Step away from standard drills and dive into real-world communication through themed activity days, interactive workshops, and collaborative projects that bring global perspectives straight to our classrooms.
Creative Expression Unleashed: From dramatic role-plays and public speaking masterclasses to our upcoming writing and media showcases, we give you the stage—literally and figuratively—to find your authentic voice.
Fun Beyond the Classroom: Who says learning can’t be a game? Our seasonal society meetings feature English board game afternoons, movie appreciation circles, and casual chat corners designed to help you build fluency and confidence naturally.
Peer Support and Mentorship: You are never learning alone. From our dedicated teacher advisors to our amazing NET teacher, Mr. Eppel—whose infectious energy and knack for turning everyday chats into absolute highlights make stepping out of your comfort zone effortless—our team creates a welcoming, low-pressure space where making mistakes is just part of the journey toward sounding like a pro.

Whether a student is a seasoned debater, an avid reader, or someone who just wants to feel more comfortable speaking up, our campus provides a supportive ecosystem where everyone can thrive.

Through vibrant events like our first CCA Day, Chinese YMCA College continues to cultivate a dynamic space where language comes alive, opening doors to a more confident, globally connected future for every student.
